This week we unpack "The work of the Holy Spirit.” Brad addresses the lack of belief and underestimation of the supernatural power within the church. In the kick off to the Supernatural series we explore the nature of the Holy Spirit as a distinct person and explains His role in creation and in our lives. Brad concluded by calling for a revival of belief in the Holy Spirit's presence and power to bring about a renewed understanding and experience of the supernatural among believers.

Pastor Brad McMahan concluded the sermon series "A House On Fire" with a message titled "As For Me & My House." Ultimately, he encourages the audience to prioritize relationships and demonstrate selfless love, kindness, and generosity towards others.

In the sermon "The Bedroom," Brad discusses the negative state of marriages and relationships in our culture, supported by statistics and descriptors like "broken" and "distant." He emphasizes that God's design is far greater, highlighting biblical values such as commitment and love. Brad urged us to make a deliberate choice about the direction of their marriages and families. He explores the biblical understanding of sex, marriage, and relationships, emphasizing their spiritual and covenantal nature. The sermon concludes with hope for restoration and healing, encouraging listeners to align their lives with God's design for greater fulfillment.

This sermon focuses on building our lives on Jesus' teachings and the importance of parenting. It explains two deals available: following Jesus' words leads to a strong, resilient life, while just listening without action leads to a life prone to falling apart. To build a life on Jesus' teachings, we must love God and love others. Parenting involves aligning our values with God's and being purposefully present and attentive to our children. Ultimately, we must rely on God's guidance in parenting and in building our lives.

The sermon "Home Invaders" emphasizes building our lives on a solid foundation and protecting our homes from spiritual invaders. It explores the roles and responsibilities of men and women in the home, highlighting the importance of providing, protecting, and regulating God's image and likeness. The sermon warns against pride and apathy as destructive home invaders. Believers are called to be vigilant and resist these invaders, ensuring that their lives and relationships are grounded in God's truth and protected from destruction.

This week in our series "A House On Fire", we continue to explore the parable that Jesus introduced in the Sermon on the Mount when He compared our lives and how we live to a house. This week uses the metaphor of a thermostat/smart home hub as a means of highlighting the primary, but not sole, responsibility of women to lead in creating, establishing, and regulating a healthy emotional and spiritual environment within themselves and the lives of those in their families. Roles and responsibilities are not singularly exclusive to men or women but are mutually shared by men and women, with each being given a primary area of focus/responsibility by God in creation. Women are called to reflect God's "likeness" (His characteristics, what He's like) and lead their families in growing in and living out the "likeness of God" in their own lives through compassion, grace, patience, love, faithfulness, forgiveness, and justice. Ultimately, the goal is for men and women to co-rule equally and in doing so, together reflect God's image and likeness in a way that demonstrates His love and righteousness to the world around them.

In the sermon "The Front Door", Brad talked about the importance of building our lives on Jesus' teachings and that means taking action and doing something about what Jesus says is good, right, true, and best when it comes to how we live. When it comes to the "front door" of our homes (our lives) the role (what the front door is) and the responsibilities (what the front door does) lies in the hands of Men, who must fulfill their role as providers and protectors in their families, emphasizing strength and selflessness.

In "The Foundation" sermon, Pastor Brad McMahan emphasizes building our lives on Jesus' teachings. Jesus' parable of building on rock or sand illustrates the importance of putting His words into practice. We must actively align our will with God's and reflect on whether our lives are built on a solid foundation.

We live the way of Jesus and in the truth of His word.

Joining Jesus' disciple making movement means we have to first take responsibility to be disciples.

We cannot love and care for others from a distance. Like Jesus, we have to be willing to get our hands dirty.

Compassion leads to responsibility, which leads to a willing spirit that takes action in the lives of others.

We don't change in order to be accepted by God. We are accepted by God because of Jesus and that causes us to change.

Jesus left heaven and came to earth to seek and save those who are lost. For many of us, the reason we assume Jesus is mad at us, is the exact reason He searches for us.

While people may seem too broken, too messy, and too far gone to us, there’s no such thing as a “lost cause” to Jesus

No matter what other people say, do, or think, when Jesus gets involved the stories of our lives count, matter, and cannot be canceled.
