High Re/Solution (Week 2): Pray Like (who) Jesus (Was)

SerMon SumMary:

Jesus' discipline of prayer doesn't just teach us to pray how He prayed, it teaches how to become a praying person like Jesus was. Prayer played a central role during significant events and trials in Jesus's life. But for Jesus the key to becoming a praying person lies in how we approach God. Tim Keller highlights three different prayer approaches - irreligious, religious, and gospel-centered - and emphasizes the latter as an the correct approach, given its foundation in the understanding of God's love and grace. The challenge for this week is to learn and engage the practice of adoration and proclamation prayer - nurturing a deeper connection to God and trusting in His wisdom and providence. There is transformative power in prayer when believers engage with God in a manner that reflects understanding of His character and our identity as His children.
